The apple flavored bute powder (SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER) has been a tremendous convenience to owners of horses who otherwise won't touch phenylbutazone.  No more pounding, pulverizing, adding molasses or applesauce to make the "bute" more palatable for the animals.  The clients with the problem horses love it.

R Day, DVM

I had the oportunity to participate in a palatability study for SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER.  My horses consumed their grain containing SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER very well. I later tried compounded bute powder after the study and my horses didn't like it very well.

W Giles

Regarding SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER, I have found that most horses find your bute powder very palatable and have observed no differences in its effectiveness verses bute in tablet form.

B Cornwall

Our clients like to use it because their horses eat it well.  We prefer using the flavored SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER instead of regular phenylbutazone tablets.

I have used the SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER on a horse of my wife's.  The effectiveness seems to be equal to the 1 gram bute tablets.

I have used Superior's apple flavored bute powder.  My clients like to use it due to the fact that there is no crushing of pills involved and there is a dipper included in each bottle. Also, the horses seem to like the apple flavor.  I feel that SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER is a very good product.

C. Lange, DVM

SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER is by far the best sweetened apple flavored bute powder. Also it is FDA approved. Others have tried to duplicate it but they don't even come close.

B Story, DVM

The purpose for this letter is to thank you for allowing us to try the new SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER at our equine rescue ranch.  We have quite a few older, abused horses that have problems ranging from ringbone to arthritis.  First, we have a couple of finicky eaters, and the SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER is tasty enough for them not to eat around the bute (like they have done with bute tablets).

My horse has been on this product daily as she is going to be our testing horse.  She has severe ringbone in all four legs and has been lame many times in the past.  She has been very active, running along with the herd with no problem, and she has not shown any further deterioration in her legs to date.

I've had a chance to try your new SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER.  It is just wonderful.  I have been in the horse industry for over 50 years and I have never had a phenylbutazone product so good.  For the first time I've been able to give my horses medicine without a fight.  It seems to work better than pills or paste, maybe because there is no fight in taking the medicine.  I have 18 horses and with that many, outside in a large pasture, someone is always coming up with a problem.

J. Renier

My horses love SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER'S sweet apple flavor.  I have tried compounded imitations of the apple bute and my horses just flip me the bird.

Just put SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER in the horses grain and they eat it. The horses spit out the bute tablets and paste.

C Giles

I use pack horses up in the mountains while hunting and camping. SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER is so convenient, I put it in their daily grain rations to help their sore feet and aches and pains.

C Anderson

I love my horses, so when they need bute they will only get SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER!

B Wilson

I tried a compounded bute powder but it was just as bitter as the tablets. SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER for my horses from now on!

P Begay

My horse career is almost over but I am glad SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER will be available for the next generation.

W Paul

I am a policeman that is on horse back most of the day. I ride on pavement and I am so thankful for SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER, or should I say my horse is so thankful.

J Walkenhorst

I used an oral dosing syringe to bute my horse with SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER.  It was so easy. I put a little bit of SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER on his tongue so he would be familiar with it then I administered the rest into his mouth. He didn't even try to spit it out.

A Cromley

SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER is definitely a premium bute.

T Marshall

No more bitter bute tablets for my horses. SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER from now on!

P Craven

I dipped my finger into SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER and took a small taste. I knew my horses would eat it.

Back in 1997 I had a two year old filly that sored up her front feet in a race.  They later abscessed and so I tried to bute her by using bute tablets in her grain.  She would not finish her grain because of the bitter taste.  I thought what good is it if an athlete doesn't finish their meal.  This is when I started formulating SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER.  I mixed sweeteners and experimented with a number of different recipes until I found a formula that masked the natural taste of bute so well that even I couldn't detect the bitterness.

Then I tried it on my horse.  The first time I buted her with SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER I dumped a gallon of grain in her bucket, and on top of the grain I put four grams of SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER.  She walked up and smelled it and walked away.  Then the second time she walked up and smelled it and walked away.  Then on the third time she walked up and smelled it and took a bite and kept eating!

She ate all four grams of SUPERIORBUTE® POWDER with her grain and I knew I was on the right track to solving the bitter bute problem.  However, I did have to tone down the potent apple flavor aroma.
